To celebrate the coming of fall (our favorite season!) and our return to publishing, we are having a sale over in the bookstore. All titles are 25% off from now through November 15th and every order will include a little surprise. It's our way of saying thanks for sticking with us through some difficult times.
We are slowly making updates to the site. We have added a page for the motorcycle anthology. This is only a partial list, as we are still adding pieces to the project. We will be updating the list as authors confirm.
Authors, we are still working through submissions, back payments, etc. and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. We promise we haven't forgotten anyone. Thank you for being the most awesome bunch of people to work with. We are so grateful for you!

Our motorcycle anthology is currently closed to submissions. We are reading through everyone's stories and responding as quickly as possible.
We have extended the deadline for the Dia de los Muertos submissions, as well as the Dark Eros antho. See the submissions page for more details.

We have extended the motorcycle anthology deadline yet again. New due date is July 15, 2014. Dia de los Muertos and the Dark Erotica deadlines have also been extended. We will be taking stories for both of these anthologies until August 15th, or when filled.
We have a couple of big announcements coming later in the week. Check back soon to see what we are up to.
We have extended the deadline for the motorcycle stories antho to June 15th. We have received a lot of good stories but we still have a few spaces left to fill. Responses are going out daily.

We are currently working on the next issue of Paper Crow and are open to submissions for our next three anthologies.
We have extended the deadline to our motorcycle-themed anthology to May 16th. Our Dia de los Muertos Antho is now open and will close to submissions on July 1st and, beginning May 1st we will be open to submissions of dark erotic tales (or darkly erotic, if you will). Just a quick update.
We have just released two great new books, both with beautiful cover art by the fabulous Marge Simon. They are both available now over in the bookstore, as well as through Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble online. Letting Out the Demons and Other Poems is the latest poetry collection from Terrie Leigh Relf. We also have a new collection of flash fiction from Gregory L. Norris, Shrunken Heads: Twenty Tiny Tales of Mystery and Terror. We are giving away copies of both books over on Goodreads so enter for your chance to win!
In other news, we are finalizing the next issue of Paper Crow, as well as the Urban Fantasy anthology. We still have submissions to respond to for both of these.
We are also sending out back payments and contributor copies. As most of you know, there have been a few major illnesses, a death in the family, and other setbacks we have been dealing with for a while now and we are working hard to catch up. We want to thank everyone for their outstanding kindness, patience, and understanding through this difficult time.
Once we get this all cleared up we should be back on track and ready to go for next year.

We have just released the latest issue of Paper Crow and payments have started going out. We are already putting together the next issue and are responding to submissions daily.
We are behind schedule on our Urban Fantasy anthology but are catching up quickly. We are still reading submissions and anyone who has not yet heard from us is still under consideration. A partial list of accepted authors can be found over on the Urban Fantasy page.

Less than 50 submissions remaining for the urban fantasty anthology. So far we have accepted four pieces and have several great stories on the shortlist. We are reading every day so you will be hearing from us soon.
The next issue of Paper Crow is almost ready to go to print. We still have submissions to respond to so if you haven't heard from us, you will.

We have a lot going on already this year.
First, we are busy reading/responding to all the stories submitted for our urban fantasy-themed anthology. So far, we have accepted two stories and have several on the shortlist. We will begin posting authors as they are accepted over on the Urban Fantasy page. There are about 80 stories remaining to be read so responses should be coming soon. If you have not heard from us, don't worry. We will be responding to everyone who submitted.
We had a rough year last year but are happy to say that we are nearly back on track. Thanks for sticking with us! We are still responding to Paper Crow submissions but the next issue will be going to print in just a few short weeks. We will be posting the lineup soon.
We are also pleased to announce the upcoming release of Marge Simon and Sandy DeLuca's truly collaborative poetry collection, Dangerous Dreams. More details coming soon.
We will be opening to submissions for three new projects, two of which are anthologies, very soon. In February we will be open to submissions of poetry collections. You can find the details over on the submissions page. We will be posting guidelines for the anthologies within the next week or two. Want a hint? Motorcycles.

We have extended the submissions deadline for our Urban Fantasy anthology. In an effort to allow those authors who were affected by the crazy weather, power outages, etc., a chance to catch up, we will be accepting stories until November 5th.

Quickly wrapping up the zombie antho. Any author who has not yet heard from us, your story/poem is still under consideration. We hope to have all final decisions made near the end of the week. We are still adding authors to the antho page as they are accepted. We will be posting cover art and taking pre-orders soon.
We have not forgotten about Paper Crow. We are still sending out responses and are working hard to get both 2012 issues out. There have been some complications, but they are coming.
Once we have finished up these projects we will be dedicating all our time to reading for the Urban Fantasy anthology. Some responses have already gone out and we plan to send out more over the weekend.
Finally, we have several new projects in the works for 2013. We will be announcing them here sometime within the next few weeks.
Quick update on the zombie anthology.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted a story or poem for consideration. We truly appreciate all of the wonderful authors who have shown an interest in this project.
Acceptances/rejections are currently going out. We have about 70 more submissions left to get through. We are posting accepted authors on the antho page as we go and we will begin sending out final edits this week.
We will also be sending out the first round of responses for the urban fantasy anthology near the end of the week.

The Mad Hattery has made the final ballot for the 2011 Bram Stoker Awards and we are thrilled. A huge congratulations to all the nominees!
We are still in the process of finishing the Oceans antho. We are still sorting through the shortlist and are posting authors as they are accepted. Also, contracts and edits are beginning to go out to those authors already accepted.
We are still catching up on the mail, as well as Paper Crow submission. We are behind due to an illness in the family and we appreciate your patience.
As mentioned previously, we have several new projects in the works including a new poetry collection from Bruce Boston, Anthropomorphisms, and a zombie-themed charity anthology. Guidelines for the antho will be posted sometime in the next two weeks. Info on other projects will be coming soon.

We are hard at work wrapping up the Oceans anthology. We have about 20 submissions remaining and we have already begun weeding through our shortlist. Final decisions will be going out throughout the month and we'll be posting the TOC and cover as soon as they are finalized.
We are still catching up on submissions for Paper Crow. Everyone who submitted to us will receive a response. We have not forgotten you.
Also, there have been more complications with the mail. This has caused a huge delay in some contributors receiving their copies/payments. We are working hard to correct this and are in the process of resending copies. We apologize for the frustration and are extremely thankful for your patience.
Finally, we are excited to have three new projects in the works. Details on these, including submissions guidelines, will be posted as soon as we are caught up.

We are working hard to catch up on our Paper Crow submissions and hope to be open to new subs for the month of December.
Finally, we are finalizing the schedule for next year's projects. We will be announcing a new call for submissions once the Oceans anthology is completed.

We are taking cover art submissions for our In the Garden of the Crow anthology as well as our Oceans. Interested artists may send sample artwork and/or queries to artsubs at elektrikmilkbathpress dot com. Artwork should somehow fit either the titles and/or the themes of the anthologies. We have almost finished reading for the antho and hope to send out the remaining responses this week. We are down to the very end and the final decisions are hard to make. If you have not yet heard from us, you are still under consideration. Those poems not used for the antho are also being considered for upcoming issues of Paper Crow.

The newest Paper Crow 2.1 is now available.
We are behind in our responses due to some unforseen issues but we are scambling to catch up. We are reading over the remaining submissions for the Garden antho and have posted a partial line-up on the Garden page. We will continue to add names as contributors are confirmed. We received a ton of submissions for this project (as well as for Oceans) and have roughly 100 poems still remaining to sort through. If you have not yet heard from us, you are still under consideration. All submissions should be receiving a response soon, as we are hoping to wrap up the antho over the next two to three weeks.
We are also still reading for Oceans. So far, we have accepted 3 pieces and have shortlisted a few more. Again, if you have not yet heard from us, your story is still under consideration.
About four days remaining until the Oceans antho closes to submissions. We are working hard to catch up on responses but are still quite behind.
We are still having some problems with the mail service and have people working on that. Hopefully all will be resolved within the next couple of weeks.
Paper Crow will be back from the printers tomorrow or Tuesday and will begin going out over the weekend.
